Albania’s Red Tyrant Hoxha to be Stripped of Gongs and Awards After having condemned Enver Hoxha for leading one of Europe’s most savage commie regimes. Albania is considering stripping its previous totalitarian leader of the awards and recognitions he got while in power. Hoxha, who used to serve as Albania’s Red leader from the end of WW2 till his dying in 1985, received many recognitions and gongs , for example A Peoples’s Hero, Hero of Socialist Labour, Peoples’s Hero of Yugoslavia and People’s Hero of the Soviet Union, Adrian Kati, executive director of the Albanian Centre for the Rehabiliation of Stress and Torture, claimed, cited by the Macedonian paper Vecer.
It’d be just and moral if Hoxha was stripped of these recognitions, According to Kati, though most of them have by this time grown incomprehensible.
Though Hoxha at first aligned his regime with Yugoslavia, then the USSR and then China, by the mid-1970s his leadership was indicated by isolation from the remainder of the Communist world.
